What has MA in Professional Practice given me??

Hi everyone,
Feels good be to back on my blog...Did not realize how time flew!! I still remember vividly my first skype chat in Module 1 which made me go nervous and anxious.  However, it is the time now to look back and sum up what I have gained through this journey of MAPP, What difference it has added to my life? what moved me..what shook me?  Personally it has allowed me to discover my strengths and weaknesses.
Firstly being a part of MAPP boosted my confidence and positivity as at every step I would learn from my mistakes and started focusing greatly on what I was supposed to do.. and when confronted with difficulties I learnt to admit my inadequacies and worked towards it.
Secondly, I accepted the fact that there is no right or wrong..each person is unique, and everyone has their individual creative skills and we just had to proceed with confidence.
Thirdly, I believed in my gut feelings at times and just carried on with it.  Further, I noticed how my actions and thinking were expanding way beyond the dance studio..as I had started observing student's behaviour,  parent's enquiries and I wondered the ability with which I could respond was something which surprised me.  Without my knowledge I was following all the ethical considerations during my practice, my new choreographies for school play had broader movement vocabulary, managing time was another added advantage as I had learnt to skillfully balance my work and family...by then I had stopped judging myself  harshly  and I faced my fears courageously..at the end of Module three..I had a great zeal of contentment..as I had created things that mattered..spent time with family...found time for activities that once seemed trivial...last but not the least I got an incredible opportunity to meet wonderful people like Helen and Adesola..and many more talened friends in our MAPP community.

Thanks.
